Warming Dal Cooking Workshop with Yoga Kula

Join me and the Yoga Kula community for a healthy, express cooking class. This recipe is perfect for the colder weather and as a way to recover any lost energy.

You'll need the following ingredients and equipment to participate.

Warming Healthy Dal

INGREDIENTS

  • 250g (or one mug) of lentils -- these should be those red/orange lentils which are the quickest to cook!

  • 1 large onion

  • 1 thumb of ginger and/or a few cloves of garlic

  • Turmeric

  • A few teaspoons of whole or ground spices such as coriander, cumin, fennel, black mustard

  • Chillies (optional)

  • Fresh lime, fresh coriander

EQUIPMENT

  • One pot, one frying pan, knife & cutting board.

  • Optional fun tool -- mortar & pestle!
